ASSESSMENT

What we review

Fit is more than genre.

Manuscript stageEditorial needGoalsTimelineBudgetCollaboration

A strong project can still be the wrong fit for the current calendar, service model, or budget. A candid answer is more useful than an enthusiastic mistake.

What happens next

Sentinel House Press reviews the project and responds with a discovery conversation, a focused assessment recommendation, or a candid explanation of why the project is not currently a fit.

  1. 01
    You complete the project assessment.

Share the manuscript stage, goals, timeline, budget range, and the support you believe you need.

  2. 02
    We review fit and readiness.

We consider the manuscript, scope, current capacity, and whether the project fits the company’s services.

  3. 03
You receive a candid next step.

Strong-fit projects may be invited to a consultation or paid assessment. Others receive a clear explanation where possible.

Before submitting

You do not need a flawless manuscript. You do need enough clarity to describe the project, its stage, your goals, and the kind of support you believe you need.

Capacity note: Sentinel House Press accepts a limited number of major publishing engagements at one time. Submitting an inquiry does not reserve a start date.
Before you submit

Your project information is used to evaluate fit and respond to your inquiry. Do not send a full manuscript through this form. If a manuscript review is recommended, secure transfer instructions will follow.

Submission does not create a client relationship or reserve project capacity.
