Publishing and distribution setup

KDP and IngramSpark setup without surrendering the keys.

Sentinel House Press helps authors configure publishing accounts, metadata, pricing, files, proofing, and distribution settings while keeping the accounts and royalties under author control.

Discuss publishing setup

The platforms have different jobs.

Amazon KDP is often the strongest route for Amazon print and ebook availability. IngramSpark can support broader wholesale distribution and bookstore ordering. Availability does not guarantee stocking, placement, or sales.

What setup may include

The engagement may cover account guidance, ISBN decisions, imprint information, title and subtitle, description, categories, keywords, contributor data, pricing, territories, return settings, print specifications, file upload, proof review, and launch sequencing.

Author-controlled accounts

The author should control the publishing accounts, credentials, tax information, payment details, sales data, and royalties. Sentinel House Press can guide or perform scoped setup work without becoming the permanent owner of the infrastructure.

Files must be ready first

Platform setup is not a substitute for editorial completion, cover design, interior production, metadata strategy, or quality control. Uploading unfinished files faster merely creates a faster route to avoidable problems.

What distribution does not mean

A book listed through Ingram may be orderable by bookstores, but that does not mean stores will stock it. Marketing, demand, returnability, discount, local relationships, and commercial evidence all affect retailer decisions.
